This cooler variant is used for specific types of transformers, such as furnace transformers or rectifier transformers. A further application is machine transformer cooling at hydraulic power plants. Here, double-tube transformer oil water coolers are a reliable and environmentally compatible option.

We have been supplying double-tube coolers for more than thirty years. Today, double-tube safety heat exchangers are state-of-the-art for transformer oil water coolers.

  • DIN Version
    DIN type transformer oil water coolers are designed and manufactured in accordance with DIN standard EN 50216-9. This type of cooler offers advantages in particular where dirty cooling water is used that makes frequent cleaning intervals a fairly high likelihood.
  • EX Version
    Transformer oil water coolers of EX design are a cost-optimized variant of the DIN series developed to meet the requirements for economic heat transfer.

    • Basical technical data

      The nominal capacity of coolers includes a power reserve of 25% for contamined tubes on the cooling water side. Under clean conditions with purified cooling water or in connection with heart recovery systems (i.e. cooling towers) such reserves can be eliminated or be reduced in percentage. Water and oil inlet temperatures which might deviate from this list are to be taken care of see also DIN EN 50216-9)

    • Basical technical data

      The nominal cooler capacity includes a 10% reserve to compensate for water-side tube fouling. In the case of clean water circuits or heat recovery systems, this reserve may be reduced or dispensed with altogether. In selecting the cooler size, it may be necessary to make allowance for potential deviations from the water and oil inlet temperatures defined by the standard.
